 One last quickie for the night so that I can have be one whole month out in the queue for the time being.

Better News (2006)

The band with two first names.

I found a few things on dead websites like MySpace

One makes this bold statement:

"This pioneering experimental rock power trio hails from Minneapolis, Minnesota and is fronted by guitarist & analog sound scientist Bill Mike. BMB was nominated "Best Rock Band" and Bill Mike "Best Guitarist" by the Minnesota Music Academy. Longtime bandmates Chris Morrissey (bass) and Steve Goold (drums) joined Bill Mike on "Truce," BMB's second album, which will be out on Draw Fire Records in the fall of 2008. BMB pride themselves on their musical diversity and have performed at many rock clubs, jam band festivals, experimental art houses, and hip hop festivals throughout the country, and are committed to empowering the listener and helping the planet one gig at a time!"

I have yet to come across that second disc..

I could however imagine them going over well as like the third band in at a mid-oughts festival. They're better than a first band and could probably do a decent job warming up a crowd for the band that everybody actually came to see. Probably sell a few t-shirts and move some merch, perhaps even enough to cover road money for the trip.

 Less is Less. Stealing June (1999) This is the kind of stuff that gets lost in time. The little disc that couldn't and nobody cared and got put into a dollar bin and eventually might find it's way to the landfill, lost and forgotten. Or that sits in a box in the closet of the bass player for twenty years before they clear it out. It's the kind of middling pop rock that every town has.
