I Got Nothing
Here's a compilation because I can't make a decision about who I want to share with the dozens of you who venture into this way too specific little place among the infinite worlds of porn that is the internet.
'Sota Pop (1996)
A pretty decent overview of the state of state in the year of our Cthulu 1996 and one really terrible pun.
I'd type out the various people involved but most people wouldn't have a clue who or what they are. Here's a link to the Discogs page instead.
It's all pop in it's many and various flavors. Not everything is a gem, but there's plenty to like and some names that will appear here later as soon as I get around to them. But not a single name that I can imagine made any sort of splash outside the Twin Cities pond.
Come for the obscurity, stay for the mystery.
Hi,
ReplyDeleteLove your blog lots of cool stuff. I tried to post a comment on your other blog but couldn't
so I am trying here my apologies. I am originally from the Worcester area. In the 80s I made annual trips into Boston's Kenmore Square and hit Nuggets, In Your Ear and Planet Records and a few others near by. As well as weekly trips to Al Bums in Worcester & Shrewsbury. I had to sell my collection of vinyl do to a move and have been trying to find digital versions of what I had.
I am looking for a couple singles The Lifters Memories Fade/Heartbeat and The Reflectors Let Her Dance/Raining Steel both around 1983. It is worth a shot to ask since you spent some time in Boston. Minnesota's Big 3 Husker Du, The Mats & Soul Asylum changed my musical landscape forever. A band called Capture The Flag - Armies Of The World is another but not sure if they had a single or not. BCN, FNX, ERS, BRU and a couple from Worcester was all I listened to. WBCN's Rock & Roll Rumble was a particular favorite. Any help would be great but bottom line, I love your blog and thank you for all the great music, Jack
