Charm City (2000)


The Selby Tigers.


They came together from other bands and were a big deal for a few years because they got some attention outside the Twin Cities. They hailed from St Paul which had its own scene thing going on for a while. Which is nice since the downtown pretty much shuts down completely into a ghost town around 5pm on weekdays.

These folks made a nice punk rock racket with girl/boy vocals and tight constructions.
Not exactly stretching the boundaries of things you've never heard before, but it's some nice foot tapping kind of stuff.

Probably goes nice with all the fucking pumpkin spice shit we're being inundated with if that's the kind of crap you're into. I'm not personally. But you do you. I just like the music.

 Less is Less. Stealing June (1999) This is the kind of stuff that gets lost in time. The little disc that couldn't and nobody cared and got put into a dollar bin and eventually might find it's way to the landfill, lost and forgotten. Or that sits in a box in the closet of the bass player for twenty years before they clear it out. It's the kind of middling pop rock that every town has.
